Svět Pond

Svět Pond is a great place for several reasons. It has something to offer everyone, from those who enjoy hiking, cycling, and water sports to those seeking relaxation and rest.

On one side of the pond lies the beautiful spa town of Třeboň, where you can enjoy carp specialties at many restaurants. On the other side is the Schwarzenberg Tomb, which is part of the adjacent park. Members of the Schwarzenberg family are buried in this tomb. In addition to tours of the chapel itself, concerts and other cultural events are held here.

If you’d like to take a trip around the world, you can do so in just a few hours in the Třeboň region. A 12-kilometer nature trail winds around the 201-hectare pond. You can start your journey from the Bohemia-Regent Hotel, located near Aurora Spa Park. You can explore the local nature, the history of fishing, the architecture, and, above all, the beautiful surroundings. Along the way, you’ll find sixteen stops with stunning views, places to rest, and plenty of information. The entire route ends at the Svět Pond dam near the Šusta Monument. There are also two designated areas here for building fires and taking a longer break.

There are two accessible beaches on the banks of the pond. They are located across from each other and are suitable for swimming, paddle boating, beach games, and many other activities. Recreational fishing is not permitted on the pond.
