Blueberry Season at Dvorce

At Dvorce, we now have blueberry lemonade, blueberry pie, blueberries simply tossed with sugar, and, best of all, František’s favorite yeast dumplings topped with hot sauce and sprinkled with grated South Bohemian cottage cheese. Yeast Dumplings • 750 g all-purpose flour • ½ cube fresh yeast • 1 tablespoon sugar • approx. 300 ml milk • 2 eggs • a pinch of salt

Place the sifted flour in a bowl, add a little salt, crumbled yeast, sugar, eggs, and lukewarm milk. Knead the dough until it no longer sticks to the bowl or the spoon. Dust with flour and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour. Place the risen dough on a floured surface, cut into equal pieces, shape into balls, and let rest for a moment. Boil in boiling water for about 14 minutes. Turn them over while boiling. Once removed, pierce them to let the steam escape. Split them open, top with blueberries and sugar, and garnish with cottage cheese and butter. Enjoy!
