Ostende Natural Swimming Area

On the shore of Svět Pond, there are two swimming areas, one of which is Ostende. The swimming area is particularly popular with families with children, as the sandy beach offers several attractions for them. Children can enjoy swings and climbing frames, trampolines, and water slides.

You can spend a day at the beach enjoying a pleasant swim, sunbathing, taking a ride on a pedal boat, or grabbing a bite to eat at the local restaurant, from where parents can keep an eye on their children. The beach is open from June through the end of September.

The area around Svět Pond offers several nature trails and bike paths. The closest to the beach is the path around Svět, which is twelve kilometers long. Along this route, designed for pedestrians, you can visit sixteen stops. These stops can help you learn about the local nature, architecture, and the history of fishing and spa culture in the nearby town of Třeboň. There are many places to rest, and even two designated fire pits where you can roast some treats.
