Dačice is located 62 km from Třeboň. Numerous nearby ponds, forests, historical monuments, and memorable places steeped in legend all contribute to the picturesque character of the town and the surrounding region. The town also regularly hosts a variety of cultural festivals.
The historic town center is a municipal heritage zone.
The World’s First Sugar Cube
An interesting feature is the granite monument to a sugar cube located in front of the church, as the first sugar cubes in the world were produced here in 1843 by J. K. Radem at the local refinery.
