Gates to Třeboň
Three main roads lead to the very center of Třeboň, flanked by massive gates.
- Near the church stands the Budějovická Gate, built between 1605 and 1611 and rebuilt into its current form in the early 19th century.
- On the eastern side, the city is guarded by the Hradecká Gate, the core of which dates back to the 1520s, when the gate became part of the improved city fortifications.
- In the southern part of the town is the Svinenská Gate. It features arched gables and sgraffito decoration.
- Just behind it is another gate, the Novohrad Gate, leading to the dam of Svět Pond. It was built in the 16th century. The entrance to the gate is in the shape of a Gothic pointed arch, and access to it is restricted on both sides by the city wall
- The following local districts belong to Třeboň: Branná, Břilice, Holičky, Nová Hlína, Přeseka, and Stará Hlína.
