Rožmberk Nature Trail

Not far from our guesthouse, you can join the 15-kilometer-long Rožmberk Nature Trail. We’d be happy to advise you on how to get there by bike directly from our guesthouse. The trail around Central Europe’s largest pond will introduce you to the history of the Třeboň pond system at 9 stops.

The nature trail loop begins at the Svět Pond dam in Třeboň. From there, you’ll follow bike trail No. 1034 through the villages of Břilice and Přeseka to the Rožmberk Pond dam, lined with centuries-old oak trees. Further along, you’ll see a unique engineering monument, the Adolfka spillway.

The red hiking trail will lead you to the safety spillway and the monument to Jakub Krčín. Continue along bike trail No. 1035 to Stará Hlína. At the intersection with the main road in Stará Hlína, join the blue hiking trail, the “Around Třeboň” nature trail, which will take you back to Třeboň.

Along the way, you’ll also see Vítek Pond with its beautiful white bridge, ancient wooden haylofts in Mokré Lúky, the pergola at St. Vitus, and the Golden Canal.
