When Will Lenka the Stork Arrive? – A Contest Featuring the Storks of Dvorec

Today, our regular guest, Karel the stork, arrived at our Dvorce guesthouse. He is now repairing the nest and waiting for his mate, Lenka. Every year, our pair manages to raise 2–3 chicks. Mr. Stork always arrives first; he repairs the nest, protects it from other males, and awaits the female’s arrival. Our stork pair has been returning to us for three years now. Every time Lenka arrives, the two greet each other by clacking their beaks, as if sharing stories from their 10,000-kilometer journey.

Lenka and Karel have their nest on our distillery chimney, so every year guests can look forward to the sound of clacking beaks and join us in observing the lives of these remarkable birds.
